  Oh dear. Called in for an early evening meal whilst it was quiet, around 6pm and just before I started work. Ordered the vegetarian tart which could only be described as solid and unbreakable. Staff were very apologetic and another was ordered. 20 minutes later it arrived and this time it could be likened to a soggy dish cloth. A real shame as all the staff are really friendly and helpful. Its in a good location and the place itself is very cosy. A change of chef is possibly all it needs.

  Nice and quiet. Staff were very polite and helpful. Lovely atmosphere. Food was brought out in a good time and very nice. Good options and prices.

  Excellent location and being a harvester restaurant the menu is set which should make it easy for the staff to maintain a high standard throughout the day. Unfortunately the management and staff are lacking in experience and training this clearly shows.
  Depending on the time and day will make a big difference to standard of foodd and service you will encounter here.
  When the same table has two identical dishes ordered and the main courses are served 15 minutes apart from each other and the second arrives different from the first!!!!
  Let's face it it's a Harvester is cheap and cheerful the same from one end of the country to the other. Usually but not here, salad bar is virtually none existent, premises are unkept unclean and customer service is poor. The staff are polite and helpful but have no training or active management to guide them.
  This establishment changes management and ownership so often it's hard to keep track.
  Shame as under the rite management this business should be a thriving goldmine with its location.
